Filter manufacturing

Filters play a crucial role in many industries, ensuring the purity and efficiency of systems. Their main purpose is to retain unwanted particles while allowing the passage of clean fluids or air. For example, in air filtration systems, they prevent dust and pollutants from entering engines, extending their life and improving their performance. The use of polymers in the manufacture of filters for bonding and sealing is essential to strengthen their structure. This process ensures a strong and durable adhesion between the different layers of materials, ensuring the resistance and durability of the filters, even in demanding conditions. The polymer forms a waterproof barrier, preventing leaks and ensuring optimal performance of the filters. Therefore, whether for air or water purification, these filters are essential to maintain the purity, safety and efficiency of the systems in which they are integrated.

Polyurethane part

A medical polyurethane part is a component made from polyurethane, a flexible, durable, and biocompatible material. These parts are often used in medical devices such as joint replacements, catheters, bandages, and diagnostic devices. Polyurethane offers excellent resistance to wear, impact, and chemicals, making it an ideal choice for demanding medical applications.

Conformal coating for electronic card

Tropicalization of electronic boards for the military sector consists of applying a special protective layer to printed circuit boards (PCBs) to make them resistant to extreme environmental conditions, such as humidity, heat and contaminants. This layer, often a varnish or resin, encapsulates the electronic components, protecting them from oxidation, corrosion and mechanical damage. As a result, tropicalized electronic boards are able to maintain their performance and reliability even in hostile environments, which is crucial for military applications.

Conformal Coating

Conformal coating is used to protect electronic boards and other sensitive components from harsh environmental conditions, such as humidity, dust, and extreme temperatures. Here are some key points about its use: Moisture protection: The coating creates a waterproof barrier that prevents water from penetrating and causing short circuits or corrosion. Electrical insulation: It provides additional electrical insulation, reducing the risk of electrical leakage and interference. Temperature resistance: The coating is designed to withstand high and low temperatures, ensuring that components operate properly in extreme environments. Contaminant resistance: It protects components from dust, chemicals, and other contaminants. Application: The coating is applied to electronic boards after assembly, often in a selective deposition machine or by spraying or immersion, and is then cured by evaporation, heating, or exposure to UV light. In summary, conformal coating is essential for extending the life and improving the reliability of electronic boards exposed to harsh conditions.

Interior and exterior resin floor covering

Resin and microcement coatings are popular for their aesthetic qualities and durability, offering versatile solutions for a variety of spaces. Resin Coatings: Interior: Epoxy and polyurethane resins are popular for interior floors and walls. They create smooth, glossy and hard-wearing surfaces. Used in kitchens, bathrooms and garages, they are easy to clean and maintain. Resins can also be applied to worktops for a water and stain resistant surface. Exterior: For terraces, balconies, driveways and car parks, resins offer high resistance to weathering and UV rays. They create non-slip, durable and aesthetic surfaces, suitable for high environmental constraints. Microcement: Interior Floors: Microcement offers a smooth and uniform finish, perfect for floors in living rooms, kitchens, bathrooms and bedrooms. It is stain and wear resistant, while being easy to clean. Interior Walls: Used on walls, polished concrete brings a contemporary and industrial touch, with possibilities of varied textures and colors for a personalized design. These materials combine aesthetics, resistance and ease of maintenance, making them an ideal choice for many construction and renovation projects.

Polyurethane part

Polyurethane parts are widely used in the sports and leisure industry due to their exceptional durability, flexibility, and wear resistance. Here’s how they are manufactured and used: Manufacturing: The manufacturing process for polyurethane parts begins with the formulation of the polymer, which involves mixing different chemical components to achieve the desired properties. The liquid polyurethane is then poured into specific molds designed for sports and leisure parts. Once in the molds, the polyurethane hardens and takes the desired shape. The molds can be simple or complex, depending on the part to be manufactured. Sports Applications: Shoe Soles: Polyurethane is commonly used to make soles for athletic shoes due to its excellent cushioning and durability. Protective Equipment: Helmets, knee pads, and elbow pads are often made of polyurethane for their ability to absorb shock and provide reliable protection. Playing Surfaces: Running tracks and playing fields use polyurethane surfaces for their resilience and ability to provide a consistent, safe surface. Applications in Leisure: Climbing Holds: Polyurethane climbing holds are popular for their texture and durability, providing a strong grip and resistance to wear. Camping Pads and Mattresses: Polyurethane foams are used in camping equipment for their comfort and thermal insulation. Bicycles: Polyurethane bicycle saddles and handles provide additional comfort due to their flexibility and vibration absorption capacity. Polyurethane is therefore a material of choice for a variety of sports and leisure items, providing the perfect balance between comfort, performance and durability.

Electronics Protection

Polymers play a crucial role in protecting medical device electronics by providing a barrier against moisture, corrosion, and mechanical shock. Polyurethanes and epoxy resins are commonly used to encapsulate and protect printed circuit boards and other electronic components. These materials provide excellent mechanical and chemical resistance, ensuring the longevity and reliability of medical devices. In addition, conformal coatings can be applied to enhance protection against extreme environmental conditions, such as humidity and high temperatures.

Mold and model

Using silicone and resin to make molds and models for sports and recreational items, such as climbing holds, is a common and effective technique. Silicone for Molds: Silicone is ideal for creating molds because of its flexibility and non-toxicity1 . It allows for capturing fine details and makes it easy to demold finished pieces1 . To make a silicone mold, start by creating an original wax or plaster model. Then, liquid silicone is poured around the model and allowed to harden. Once the mold is ready, the original model can be removed, leaving a perfectly formed impression for casting. Epoxy Resin for Models: Epoxy resin is used to cast models into silicone molds1 . It offers excellent durability and strength, which is essential for sports items such as climbing holds. The resin is mixed with a hardener and then poured into the silicone mold. After curing, the resin model is demolded and can be used directly or undergo additional finishing steps. Applications: For climbing holds, silicone molds allow for the production of precise and repeatable models, ensuring consistent quality. Polyurethane resin ensures that the holds are strong and able to withstand significant loads. In summary, the use of silicone for molds and polyurethane resin for models is a reliable and precise method for manufacturing sports and leisure articles, offering aesthetic and functional results.
